Mother/Daughter Workshop Was a Blast!

I had so much fun yesterday afternoon!  I got to stamp cookies and make cards with an adorable group of (mostly second grade) girls and their moms.   Everyone had a great time! We made the two cards shown below, plus gift tags which I will post in a separate entry.

I chose these cards to demonstrate the versatility of these two stamp sets. The first one was made entirely with the "pennant parade" stamp set (122740), and the coordinating punch (122361).  (plus the 1/2 " circle punch119869)  The colors are pink pirouette and wisteria wonder.  I love the ribbon (122973), which is available in all the new in-colors for the current catalog. The girls LOVED the bling from the basic rhinestones(119246). At the low price of 150 for $4.95, they can use as many as they like without breaking the bank. This stamp set is incredibly versatile!  You can make pennants, birthday hats and Christmas trees.  You can also glue two punched out images back to back on a toothpick, and you have a wonderful cupcake topper - personalized however you would like!  If you're a scrapbooker, imagine how awesome it would be to decorate a birthday party page with pennants.

The cupcake card is from "easy events"
(116958), which is even more versatile, since there is a stamp for almost every occasion.  The colors are "wild wasabi" and "pink pirouette", with some whisper white cardstock and "just add cake"(124339) designer series paper.  We stamped the main images in basic black, and colored them in with "baja breeze", "so saffron" and "pink pinhouette" markers. The happy birthday is in "wild wasabi" and punched out with the word window punch (119857).

The girls loved stamping the cookies (125152) too, and the moms were super amazed at how easy it is to get beautifully decorated cookies.  They were a hit at "snack time" too!

Let me know when you would like to invite your friends over and host your own workshop.  It's lots of fun AND you earn free Stampin' Up! stuff!  How cool is that?!

:-) Miriam

p.s. If you ever question why I like my job so much, just look at the thank you gift I got from an adorable and talented five year old yesterday:

It was meant to be a self portrait, (I covered her name to protect her privacy), but I think it looks like me! ;-)
